Our Latest, June 2024
She spent her early years with her family in the "Big House" capturing the hearts of many with her art and her nature. When Ella Sallie McCullough joined the Community of St. Mary in 1903, she left her family brokenhearted for a life purpose she was determined to and succeeded in seeing through. Her prolific contributions of both secular and religious artworks remain an inspiration to us today as they were to so many—including her family—during her lifetime. We've gathered her work, scoured our archives for artifacts, and visited neighboring institutions to sleuth out the facts, with the goal of learning more about her life, talents, and selfless service. This year’s special exhibition shares work by Sister Mary Veronica previously unseen by the public; visit to learn more about her story, through October 2024.
