'Elegance': Park-McCullough House gives public exclusive look at historical clothing

NORTH BENNINGTON
 — This Saturday, clothing from the late 19th and early 20th centuries will be on display at the Park-McCullough Historic Governor's Mansion in an exclusive exhibition for the public.

The collection, which belonged to the Park-McCullough family, contains several clothing items that have never been seen by the public. Included are several wedding dresses, daytime gowns, evening and formalwear, as well as children's clothing and accessories.

"It is great to see the house alive and active. I am incredibly excited about the Elegance Exhibition because it showcases artifacts that the public has never seen," said Christopher Oldham, executive director of Park-McCullough. "There is so much to share with our community. There are over 100,000 items that once belonged to the family, and we are looking forward to organizing more exhibits from our collection."
